Down syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality associated with an increased incidence of different autoimmune pathologies. Within these diseases, the endocrine ones stand out, being hypothyroidism the most common. Cases of hyperthyroidism are rare and more so associated with diabetes mellitus. We report the case of a 2-years-old male with a history of Down syndrome, in which both type I diabetes mellitus and subclinical hyperthyroidism were diagnosed.
