Abstract

The authors present the case of a 2-year-old girl with recurrent laryngeal papillomatosis (human papillomavirus type 11) who required surgical treatment each two months. We noticed less severity of the disease after the first “off label” HPV vaccination (GARDASIL®) and 11 months follow-up without symptoms since the last doses. The authors conclude that HPV vaccination is a therapeutic option in similar cases but we can’t explain the mechanism of action for universalize this recommendation.
