Peer Review
Peer Review Process
Peer review is conducted exclusively by subject matter experts invited to the process, who can use a template designed to simplify reporting of their evaluation through the platform or by email.
The journal uses the single-blind peer review method (reviewers know the authors' identity, but not vice versa). External reviewers are selected anonymously to evaluate the manuscripts according to the journal's criteria.
The reviewers issue one of the following opinions:
- Approved without content modifications: The content is adequate; formatting adjustments may be necessary.
- Approved with changes: The document requires content and/or format modifications before being accepted. The changes may be major or minor, and a new evaluation will be done to verify the corrections.
- Rejected: The manuscript does not meet the journal's quality or format criteria.
The evaluation process uses a tool provided by the journal, where the reviewers justify their decision in a brief but reasoned manner.
Final Decision
- Once the reviewers approve, the Editorial Committee decides on the final publication, considering whether the observations were addressed.
- The Editor-in-chief makes the final decision, which is unappealable.
- The selection of articles for each issue depends on their thematic relevance, not only on the opinion of the reviewers.
