Case report: Pulmonary Thromboembolism in children an undertified diagnosis

The present case is a disease not reported and diagnosed in pediatric patients in the Ayacucho region (1), in the patient it is worth not having a suspicious pathological history of importance and clinical presentation of the disease. As for the case, the clinical manifestations of onset were increased knee and left thigh volume, pain and functional limitation of the joint, subsequently respiratory failure symptoms were added; The following images and laboratory tests were performed: soft tissue ultrasound of the left musloinguinal region, chest x-ray, hematological examinations, coagulation profile, biochemicals to diagnose deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism whose etiology is unknown, considering pathologies such as lupus erythematosus systemic, antiphospholipid syndrome, coagulation disorder, malignant processes; the main intervention were low molecular weight heparins and corticosteroids; When establishing the diagnosis, the patient presented a rapid evolution and a high risk of morbidity and mortality that ended in the death of the patient.
