Intestinal intussusception is rare in adolescents, representing 3 to 4% of all cases in children over 10 years of age. When intestinal intussusception occurs outside the typical age range (between 6 and 36 months), it may be due to an underlying pathology, which may include reactive lymphoid hyperplasia. The majority of cases in children are usually idiopathic, although in children under 3 months and in children over 5 years of age there is usually a pathological starting point (Meckel's diverticulum, tumors, hematoma, vascular malformations...) as the origin of the intussusception, we should perform complementary tests to rule out this pathology. We present a clinical case of ileo-ileal intussusception in adolescent, through which we will review the appropriate therapeutic approach to be taken according to the type of intussusception, as well as the necessary complementary examinations, to rule out possible pathology.
