Materials and methods: We conducted a search in databases such as CENTRAL Y MEDLINE, of reviews of topics, management guidelines, articles and statistical analysis, in English, where 280 references were found. After a first look of the articles through their abstracts included in the year 2000-2017 period, were finally selected 42 articles in full text covering the topic in its entirety that met the requirements of search.
Results and conclusions: Intra-abdominal infections constitute a heterogeneous group of common pathologies in Pediatrics, the diagnosis early reduces the complications, it is the first review of this issue in our country.
