Right Pulmonary Aplasia In Infant. Case Report

Abstract

We report the case of a five months male infant, which is referred to present respiratory distress with tachypnea, retractions and cyanosis; the examination shows decreased breathing sounds in the right hemithorax with increased heart sounds to that side; hemoglobin saturation of 88% and ABG with hypoxemia; the imaging study shows in radiography and chest CT absence of pulmonary parenchyma in right chest; lung abscense is confirmed by exploratory thoracotomy.
