The Neurodevelopmental is defined as an adaptive process of growth of nervous system to the environment, which has its base on the genetic information. It has its peak during the first few years of life and during this critical stage, the brain has a fantastic neuroplasticity where neurons make thousands, millions of synaptic connections that are the foundation of physical and mental health for human beings. When a premature birth occurs, the child becomes more vulnerable to environmental stress factors: tubes, respirators, oxygen, light, infections, drugs, etc. that compromise the nervous system training, producing a large possibility neurodevelopmental disorders. Neuroscience research has contributed much to the current understanding of these processes and also in monitoring these children with early intervention programs.
