Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization has changed during last years, it emerged as a diagnostic tool but gradually it has become a useful option to treat many congenital cardiac abnormalities. There are lesions or cardiac structures which are restrictive or stenotic and need to be treated with procedures such as Angioplasty, Valvuloplasty or Rashkind septostomy. On the other hand, there are lesions which cause either intracardiac or extracardiac shunts so they need to be closed with devices which are released percutaneously. There are many kinds of devices but the Amplatzer devices need special mention because they are use to close a wide range of defects such as PDA, ASD, VSD and anomalous vascular connections. With refinements of technology it is now possible to treat even neonates with these modern techniques.
