About the Journal

Since 1942, the Revista Peruana de Pediatría is the official publication of the Peruvian Society of Pediatrics.

The Revista Peruana de Pediatria publishes articles aimed at physicians, pediatricians, and people interested in research to improve the quality of preventive health care and care for children in low- and middle-income countries.

Scientific papers by its associates and non-associated professionals, national and international, are published. All articles have free open access if they meet the relevance and quality conditions after a peer review. There is no fee to publish an article in the journal.

The Journal of the Peruvian Society of Pediatrics promotes the exchange of information with similar entities in the Country and the Region to promote the advancement and application of research in favor of children in South America.

Articles are peer-reviewed. Digital content is freely available online, and user rights and copyright terms are defined by the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, which allows sharing and adaptation as long as appropriate credit is given specifying any changes made.

In 2023, the journal's editorial process and publication method were reorganized to achieve a digital presence in an updated and user-friendly format. However, an unforeseen delay resulted in the absence of issues two and three of volume 75 that year.

Since 2024, the journal will continue its triannual publication format: three issues per year, published at the end of April, August, and December.
